The last meet of the 2017/2018 hunting season today with The Royal Artillery Hunt up on Salisbury Plain encapsulated in one day, all that is wrong with the Hunting Act and it’s policing.

This so-called trail-hunt sets out without a trail having been laid…hounds then chase a fox down a hole, before entering an area to which they are not permitted to enter and when challenged they carry on anyway.

When a police officer arrives she’s told of the situation but does nothing other than run a vehicle check on the car of the person who made the complaint, whilst ignoring a hunt support on a motorbike with no number plates.

Fair policing? What do you think?
