The family of a teenager who very sadly died in a fatal road traffic collision in Christchurch have issued a tribute to their loved one.

Dorset Police received a report at 9.37pm on Friday 30 June 2023 of a collision involving a Honda Civic and a pedestrian on Parley Lane near Bournemouth Airport.

Emergency services attended and very sadly the pedestrian – 16-year-old Billy Lardner from Christchurch – died at the scene.

His family has issued the following tribute: “Billy has left a hole in our heart that we will never fill, 16 years of fun, laughter and unforgettable memories.

“The best son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, bar none.”

Officers are continuing to investigate the full circumstances of the collision.
