Fight in Wimborne leaves man with significant facial injuries

Officers investigating an assault in Wimborne town centre are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At approximately 10.45pm on Friday 20 October 2023, officers were approached by members of the public reporting a fight taking place in Church Street.

A man was located with significant facial injuries. The ambulance service attended and he was taken to hospital for treatment.

Police Constable Mia Jakeman, of East Dorset police, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this incident, which is believed to involve people who are known to each other.

“As part of my investigation, I am really keen to hear from anyone who was in the town centre and witnessed what happened.”
