Finding the Will – ‘Bard Heads’

Taking an up-dated look at some of well-loved characters from Shakespeare´s most popular plays, Finding the Will imagine what might have happened next…

A midsummer’s dream for Hermia? More like a mid-life crisis. In ‘The Dust Behind the Door’, Hermia is twenty years on from that strange night in Athens Wood, and having a mid-life crisis in her kitchen. Lysander, Helena and Demetrius remain a huge part of her life but are they all still living the dream?

Then, in ‘The Whirligig of Time’, Twelfth Night’s Malvolio says ‘To hell with anger management’, he wants revenge! As Chief Steward to Lady Olivia, Malvolio swears to take revenge on those he believes publicly humiliated him; he is true to his word and we slowly discover the extreme lengths to which his thirst for revenge takes him

Performed by Jules Hobbs and Richard Curnow, these two clever solo shows are full of laughter, tears and quite a few surprises; this is a must-see production, whether a Shakespeare fan or not.

Fri 10 October, 7:30pm. Melbury Osmond Village Hall. 01935 83410.
