As of Monday 8 February 2016, recruitment is now open for the role of police constable with Dorset Police. Recruitment will run until Friday 12 February 2016
Dorset Police intends to recruit an intake of 16 new officers to start on Monday 17 October 2016, with a further 16 officers joining in January 2017, although the final numbers will depend on Force demand. Details of the campaign have been published online.
The Dorset Police website contains all the details necessary for those interested in the post, including a recruitment brochure which documents the various stages of the application process.
In light of its success in handling high levels of demand in previous recruitment campaigns, an online pre-assessment selection tool will be available while recruitment is open. Applicants must complete this pre-assessment successfully before being able to proceed to the next stage.

Alongside this campaign, Dorset Police has also opened recruitment to transferees from other forces for the role of uniform patrol police constable and detective constable, which closes on Wednesday 2 March 2016.
