Drawing on the experience of being abused as a child

Watch this powerful video from Stacey Leighann, drawing on her experience of being abused as a child. With two of my charities, Dorset Mind (the mental charity for whom I am Patron) and Acts Fast (the Bournemouth-based charity supporting victims of child sexual abuse, for whom I am Chair of Trustees), we are launching Stacey’s single at an event in Poole on March 12th (details very soon). Why am I involved? Around one-third of people I know with enduring mental health problems were sexually in childhood and/or adolescence. We know that about 80% of abused children go on to develop lifelong mental health problems. Something’s got to change.
