Four boys aged between 13 and 16 arrested following serious assault in Poole

Officers investigating a reported assault at Poole bus station are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 8pm on Saturday 28 December 2019 an alleged altercation occurred near Subway outside the Dolphin Centre.

A man was reportedly assaulted by a group of teenagers.

The victim – a Bournemouth man aged in his 40s – sustained injuries to his face and a fractured jaw that required surgery.

Two 16-year-old boys and two boys aged 13 and 15, all from Poole, have been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are currently assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detective Constable Eleanor Jones, of Bournemouth CID, said: “I understand that footage of this incident has been shared widely on social media and I would like to reassure the public that a full investigation is underway.

“I am appealing to any witnesses who were in the area at the time, and have not yet spoken to police, to please get in touch.”
