Detectives investigating an indecent exposure incident near Dorchester are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 7pm on Sunday 29 December 2019 Dorset Police received a report that a man had indecently exposed himself in the Meadow View area of Charminster.

The victim, a woman aged in her 60s, heard a knock on her window. A few minutes later she went out into her garden and saw a man standing on the pathway exposing himself.

The man is described as white and aged in his mid to late 30s. He was wearing a dark-coloured jumper and black or dark-coloured tracksuit bottoms.

Detective Constable Gerald Marchant, of Weymouth CID, said: “An investigation is underway into the incident and we are continuing to support the victim.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnessed any suspicious activity in the Charminster area around the relevant time, or who has any information about this incident, to come forward.

“I would also urge local residents to check their home CCTV systems or dashcams for any relevant footage.”
