Businesses across Weymouth, Portland and West Dorset are invited to a free drop-in event offering business advice and support.

Weymouth & Portland Borough Council is running the event, which will offer a range of advice on topics such as starting a new business, growing your business, importing and exporting, locating new premises, financing your business and marketing.

The event, supported by the local chambers of commerce, will take place in the Piano Bar at Weymouth Pavilion on 10 February from 5pm to 8pm.

Support will also be on offer from organisations such as Dorset Business Mentoring, WSX enterprise, UK Trade and Investment, The Dorset Skills Hub and The Dorset Growth Hub.

Weymouth & Portland Borough Council Briefholder for Economic Development Cllr Ray Nowak said: “We want to do anything we can to help support businesses across Weymouth and Portland. Successful businesses will help make a stronger local economy and create more job opportunities.”

West Dorset District Council Leader Cllr Anthony Alford said: “Offering help and support to businessescan make a real contribution to building stronger foundations for success.”
