The scenes following the end of the 2020 European Championships Final were dismal but predictable. Racists in government and racists on social media making the country look like gutter snipes yet again.
However, on the side of decency we had voices who put these ***** in their place.
“We had a Prime Minister in this country say it was ok to boo people who were promoting equality and defending racism… just say that to yourself, in your own mirror a few times, and ask yourself whether that’s right…. and we know it’s wrong, so why do we tolerate these people?”
Gary Neville says we need leaders with integrity who do the right thing. They’re a bit thin on the ground at the moment.
