George Wright was born London 1950. He studied Graphic Design at Wimbledon School of Art and has been a freelance photographer since 1975. His work appeared in books and magazines such as The IndependentIndependent on SundayObserver & TelegraphCountry LifeCountry Living

Atlante (Italy) & Departures (USA). George Wright’s publications include English Topiary Gardens (1986), In time of Flood (1996), The Wheal of Hope (2000), Dorset Man (2006), Dorset Woman (2006), Dorset Coast (2007) & Vanishing Dorset (2011). His work is in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery, London, Dorset County Council & Dorset County Hospital. Exhibitions include The Metropolitan Museum, New York, Chicago Botanic Gardens, Dorset County Museum & Bridport Art Centre.
