Representatives from the show, including ASDA George and Nothe Fort Re-enactment will be joined by show sponsors Epic Printing and show organisers Weymouth & Portland Borough Council events team and Tourism and Culture brief holder Cllr Ian Bruce.
This year’s Best of Dorset Show promises to be another high energy show, offering visitors great entertainment, attractions, adventures and events that can be enjoyed throughout 2014 in Dorset.
Best of Dorset Show is a free event at Weymouth Pavilionon Sunday 20 March from 11am to 4pm.
The show offers the opportunity for many local attractions, businesses and organisations to showcase and promote their activities, features and events for 2014.
Best of Dorset Show will feature live entertainment on the Weymouth Pavilion stage throughout the day, fun events for children, Nothe Fort Re-enactment group activities and tall ship visits on TS Pelican. There will also be opportunities to get the very latest ideas and information on how to make 2014 in Dorset full of memories and adventures.
The 14thBest of Dorset Show’s theme this year is ‘Volunteers’. The event will recognise the impact and importance of volunteers and use the show to promote the many great opportunities to volunteer in the county.
The show will also include a special feature on this year’s big sporting event ‘Challenge Weymouth Triathlon’. Over 1,500 athletes and 5,000 additional visitors will be in the area in September to be part of this great showcase event.
