Officers investigating reports that a man exposed himself and sexually assaulted a teenage girl in Wareham are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
Dorset Police responded to a report at around 9pm on Wednesday 24 August 2022 that a man was exposing himself in the area of the bridge by The Quay. Officers attended and a 42-year-old Poole man was arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
It was further reported that the man inappropriately touched a teenage girl, who has not been identified at this time.
Police Constable Ryan Higgins, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this matter and I would urge any witnesses who have not already spoken to police, or anyone else with information that might assist our enquiries, to please come forward.
“I would also urge any motorists who were in the area to check their dashcam footage for anything that might assist our enquiries.”
