Dorset Wildlife Trust is pleased to host the popular Wild About Chesil event at the Fine Foundation Chesil Beach Centre on Sunday 28th July from 10am-5pm.

We have lots of entertainment, including Morris dancers, a live band, and activities to discover the fascinating world of bugs, reptiles, crabs and anemones found in the area. The BBC Summer of Wildlife tour will also be coming along, with activities for kids to get stuck into.

This is also an opportunity for Dorset Wildlife Trust to show-off all the fantastic features of the centre, including the delicious taste* café, new interpretation and information boards and shop, filled with books, gifts and wildlife keep-sakes. We also have an under-water lagoon camera to discover what’s happening beneath the waves!

We want everyone to go wild at Chesil with fun-filled hands-on activities for all the family, whether it’s netting some critters in the bug hunt, or creating a canvas with wildlife chalk stencils. We will also have a barbeque throughout the day, serving up our delicious traditional Kingcombe Meadows Farm-sourced beef and lamb burgers.

Megan Lowe, Event Organiser for Wild About Chesil, said “There will be something here for all the family, with fantastic food and a great atmosphere. What better way for people to discover and interact with the wildlife on their doorstep!”
