COOK in Westbourne, the successful and unique franchise store which sells ‘remarkable food for your freezer’ and prides itself on its hand-made dishes, is benefiting from the healthy eating New Year’s resolutions that have been made by many across Bournemouth.

COOK has just launched a new range of OMG(‘Oh my goodness!’) Pots which are a range of some 15 low fat meals, with each dish having between 139 and 400 calories and just 14g of fat.

The new, diverse range of dishes include a Virtuous Veggie Pot, Sweet Potato and Fresh Mint Daal, Sweet Chilli Chicken, Japanese Salmon, Thai Butternut Squash Soup, Middle Eastern Lamb Koftas and Prawn Tom Yum and are on special offer from now until 1stFebruary with 3 pots for £10.

Shop owner, Elaine Sullman enthused, “These new low calorific dishes are selling incredibly well.  They taste amazingly delicious!  Normally if you buy a low fat option in the supermarket you tend to know as it will taste a lot different to your usual meal and recipe.  However, the range of COOK OMG Pots are so full of flavour as they’ve been prepared in our COOK kitchen in Sittingbourne in Kent, using the same ingredients and techniques that you would at home.  This means that everything looks and tastes homemade.”

Elaine continued, “It’s definitely an easier way to watch your waist line and I think makes dieting a lot easier.  It’s a sure safe way of measuring your calorie intake too.  The pots are ideal if you’re just trying to make sure that you and your family are eating a little more healthily.  They are really easy to use – microwavable and can be ready in minutes!”

COOK has also launched a range of OMG Puddings and a Pash ‘n’ shoot Smoothie.  The puddings include a Chocolate Mousse, Lemon Meringue Mousse, OrangeBerry and Strawgo Frozen Deserts. The smoothie is a frozen fruit sachet with mango, pineapple and passion fruit puree and requires 200ml of either juice or water to be added and then blended for 30 seconds.

COOK is based on Poole road in Westbourne and offers home delivery to BH postcodes and a ‘Click and Collect’ service.
