• THE £50billion HS2 project is cancelled on the pretext of there was no real democratic consultation with the citizens of this country.
The economic benefit from HS2 is next to nothing in the grand scheme of things and the money could be better invested in key projects.
I propose:
– £15billion is invested in reducing rail fares;
– £10billion invested in existing infrastructure;
– £15billion invested in cutting fuel duty for motorists; and
– £10billion invested in ending overcrowding on trains.
David Cameron, rail passengers and motorists refuse to finance your high-speed project because it’s undemocratic; we were not consulted and it is a waste.
