Humphries Kirk sponsors Elgar’s The Dream of Gerontius at Poole’s Lighthouse

Leading Dorset and Somerset law firm, Humphries Kirk, is proudly sponsoring The Dream of Gerontius at Lighthouse in Poole on Saturday April 28.

Choirs from Swanage, Broadstone, Wareham and Briantspuddle will join The Orlando Singers and a professional orchestra to perform Sir Edward Elgar’s work. The Dream of Gerontius for chorus and orchestra is based on a Victorian poem by Cardinal John Henry Newman. The performance tells the journey of a religious man’s soul from his deathbed to his judgement before God and settling into Purgatory.

Robin Rowland, consultant at Humphries Kirk, commented: “Sponsoring events like this really helps further enhance the cultural life of our community. It’s an event in our calendar that the firm is really looking forward to.”

Elspeth McBain, CEO of Lighthouse, commented: “We value the support of corporate partners to make outstanding performances happen at Lighthouse. By supporting the Dorset Guild of Singers, Humphries Kirk has recognised that cultural and business partnerships can make extraordinary things happen for the community to participate in.”

Tickets can be booked online www.lighthousepoole.co.uk or at the Box Office.

Humphries Kirk has offices in Bournemouth, Parkstone, Poole, Swanage, Wareham, Dorchester, and Crewkerne and has an international network of lawyers. Visit www.hklaw.eu for more information.
