Dr Bob Gill speaks to Jeremy Corbyn as he prepares to step down as Leader of the Labour Party. Their conversation reveals how the NHS has been undermined over decades by consecutive governments to achieve the ultimate goal of privatisation.

Mr Corbyn explains the threats the NHS has faced and his efforts to defend the principle of universal public healthcare as a union organiser, MP for Islington North and as Labour leader. The conversation is interspersed with relevant clips from The Great NHS Heist film.

Weakened by fragmentation, outsourcing and a decade of austerity, the NHS now struggles to cope with the COVID-19 pandemic, compounded by catastrophic handling of the crisis by government, leading to one of the worst death tolls in the world. This completely preventable tragedy must serve as an impetus for public action to defend the NHS.
