Author and campaigner Jonathon Porritt shares stories from the UK’s young climate campaigners
Celebrated environmentalist and author Jonathon Porritt brings his new book ‘Love, Anger & Betrayal’ to Bournemouth this autumn as part of his UK book tour, exploring the courage, conviction and controversy surrounding the nation’s young climate campaigners.
Described by George Monbiot as “magnificent and crucial, a lodestone for all we believe in”, the book tells the story of 26 young Just Stop Oil activists and their urgent call for change.
During the event (free to attend) Porritt invites audiences to reflect on what drives a generation to risk arrest in pursuit of climate justice — and what this means for Britain’s political and moral landscape.
The event will include a talk, Q&A, and book signing, with free tickets available here
Jonathon Porritt says:
“These are young people facing a world in crisis — and refusing to look away. Their story deserves to be heard, shared, and debated in every community in the country.”
