Simon's 1.3ltr supercharged Hayabusa DJ Firehawk

Turbo Dynamics Founder & Managing Director, Peter Marsh, and his brother Simon, who are the sons of the late HillClimb racing legend Tony Marsh, took to the track over the past weekend to compete in the Autumn Speed Finale at Shelsley Walsh.

Following on from their success at the Gurston Down Speed Hillclimb last weekend [read about Gurston here: https://bit.ly/1V5x978 ] the racing duo both put on another sterling performance in the 1.3ltr supercharged Hayabusa DJ Firehawk. Peter, who secured a fourth place finish on Day 1 with a time of 27.99 seconds and a fifth place finish on Day 2 with a respectable time of 27.58 seconds, logged some of the fastest speeds recorded during the weekend! This included crossing the finish line at a staggering 126 mph which was the 2nd quickest finish of the event, and also securing one of the fastest entry speeds into the bottom Esses Corner reaching 119 mph on approach – an achievement not easy when racing on 7 year old tyres!

However it was Simon this weekend who was the victor of the ‘Marsh Mêlées’, securing the second fastest time in class and the second fastest time overall on both days of the competition with a staggering time of 27.01 seconds!

Keeping it in the family Peter and Simon’s cousin, Richard Hollingworth, put on an exceptional performance in his stunning black 1600cc DJ Firehawk. Richard, who competed in the Racing Cars over 1100cc and up to 1600cc Class, demonstrated his consistent driving skills and secured a second place finish on Day One with a time of 27.86 seconds, and was able to repeat this performance on the Sunday comfortably securing the Class victory with the same impressive time!
