Just 12 days ago Shadow Energy Secretary, Ed Miliband, said that Labour WOULD bring the Energy sector back into public ownership because it was essential to achieving a Green New Deal. He even argued that Starmer pledged to do so in his leadership campaign.

Starmer not only contradicted Miliband today when he said Labour would NOT bring energy back under public ownership, he also contradicted his own pledge on it, along with his pledge to implement the green new deal that Miliband argues nationalisation of key utilities is essential to achieve
