23/01/2014 – On Sunday 30th March members of the Keytek™ Running Team will be pushing themselves to their limits by pounding the streets of the Bournemouth Beach promenade by taking part in this year’s ‘Bournemouth Bay Run’ in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

The run itself is Bournemouth’s only coastal half marathon which gives those taking part the chance to raise money for charity whilst enjoying the picturesque coastline. Those taking part have a choice of a variety of different challenges which include half marathon, 10k run, 5k run and a 1k Family Fun Run. The 10k event will kick off at 9.30am; followed by the 1k Family Fun Run at 9.40am. The half marathon starts at 10 am with the 5k starting at 11.45am.

In the follow up to the charity running event the Keytek™ Team will be training each week both as a team and as individuals in order to ensure they are all fit and ready for the big day. All funds raised by those running in the Keytek™ Team will be donated to the British Heart Foundation in the fight against heart disease.

Eddie Wilkinson, Operations Director at Keytek™ Locksmiths, said: “The Keytek™ Team are really excited to be taking part in this year’s ‘Bournemouth Bay Run’. It’s a great chance for the office to get together and keep fit whilst raising money for a charity that is close to all of our hearts here at Keytek™.”
