“I support safeguarding the NHS from TTIP competition rules. I believe that international agreements – and in particular the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) being negotiated – should not lead the NHS to be exposed to competition and privatisation. Whilst it has been confirmed to Lib Dem President Baroness Brinton in the Lords that public services are always exempted from TTIP contracts, it would be reassuring to have this position confirmed by David Cameron.
