Appeal for information following reported public order incident in Bournemouth

Detectives investigating a reported public order incident in Bournemouth are appealing for anyone with information to come forward, with three people arrested in connection with the matter.

At around 3.50pm on Tuesday 13 July 2021 Dorset Police was called to a report of a fight taking place at the Kings Park skate park. It was reported that some of those involved were believed to be in possession of knives.

Following a search of the area a 17-year-old boy and two men, aged 18 and 23, all from Bournemouth, were arrested on suspicion of affray. They are assisting officers with their enquiries.

Detective Sergeant Karen Penn, of Dorset Police’s Priority Crime Team, said: “We are continuing to carry out enquiries into this incident and I would urge anyone who witnessed it and has not already spoken to police to please get in touch.

“At least one person is reported to have been assaulted during this incident but no victims have so far been identified. I would urge anyone who has been the victim of an assault to please come forward and contact us.

“Local officers will be carrying out increased patrols in the area over the coming days and can be approached by members of the public with any concerns.”
