Officers investigating a robbery in which a high value watch was stolen in Poole are appealing for information.

At around 1.50am on Saturday 12 August 2023 a man aged in his 30s was waiting to get into a taxi near to Golden Kebab in Bournemouth Road with his friends when they were approached by a man who claimed the taxi that had arrived was for him.

He is reported to have pushed the victim up against the taxi and removed a Rolex watch from his wrist before making off in the direction of Church Road.

The man is described as being around 30 years old, five feet eight inches tall, of large build and bald. He was wearing a khaki green T-shirt and dark jeans.

He was believed to have been with a woman who is described as being aged in her early 20s, around five feet seven inches tall and with curly black hair. She was wearing a white hooded top and white trainers.

The stolen watch was a Rolex Daytona Oysterflex in Champagne colour.

Police Constable Aaron Strange, of Dorset Police, said: “We have been continuing to investigate this robbery and have now obtained further information from the victim. I am appealing to anyone who witnessed this incident or who has any information that might assist our enquiries to please come forward.

“I would also urge anyone who was driving in the vicinity during the early hours of Saturday 12 August 2023 to please review any dashcam footage to see if they have captured anything of relevance.”
