Detectives are issuing an image of a man they would like to identify as they investigate an assault in Bournemouth.

It is reported that at around 10.23am on Sunday 10 March 2024 two men were assaulted by a man in Bournemouth Square. It is reported that during an altercation, one man was headbutted by the suspect and another had their finger bitten.

One of the victims attended hospital for treatment to injuries to his hand.

Detective Constable Gregory Plant, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We take reports of public place violence of this nature very seriously and we are conducting a full investigation into this incident.

“We have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to identify as part of our enquiries and I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
