Officers investigating a public order incident in Weymouth are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to get in touch.

Dorset Police received a report at 2.25am on Thursday 24 August 2023 that an aggressive man was refusing to leave McDonald’s in the Jubilee Retail Park.

It is reported that the man was verbally abusive to staff members and made threats toward them, as well as shouting homophobic abuse.

The suspect is described as white, aged in his mid 20s, six feet tall and of slim build with short dark hair.

Police Constable Michael Golder, of Weymouth police, said: “Dorset Police does not tolerate hate crime and we will do all we can to identify the person responsible.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area of McDonald’s around the relevant time and recognises the man from the description given to please get in touch.”
