Man Sought Following Theft Of Handbag In Poundland, Christchurch

Officers are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to identify as they investigate a theft in Christchurch.

Between 4pm and 5pm on Tuesday, 3 December 2024, an elderly customer reportedly had their bag stolen from the till area of Poundland in High Street.

The bag contained a number of items, including a wallet with a small amount of cash and a bank card.

It is reported that the bank card was later used to withdraw £300 from the BP garage in Somerford Road in Christchurch.

Police Constable Jack Honnywill, of Dorset Police, said: “We are continuing to investigate this theft and we are now in a position to release CCTV images of a man we are looking to identify as part of our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please contact us.”
