At a recent Mayor’s Parlour Evening the community of Westham came together to speak about a recently advertised Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) for Westham.

Representatives of the Westham Community Group, Dorset County Council Highways, Dorset Police, and County Councillor David Harris came to listen to proposals about reducing the Westham area to 20mph.

Mayor of Weymouth & Portland Cllr Christine James: “Mayor’s Parlour Evenings are events that I hold throughout the year. The latest evening on 8 July was to talk about a TRO that is currently being advertised by Dorset County Council about introducing a 20mph speed limit in Westham which is something I am passionate about.”

Residents who would like to find out more about the TRO can find it at www.dorsetforyou.com/travel-dorset/roads-and-driving/road-information/traffic-management/traffic-regulation-orders/dorset-county.

Consultation on the Traffic Regulation Order closes on 14 August.
