Recent developments in diabetes care is the topic for the latest Members’ Event at Dorset County Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Hospital governors are inviting members of the Trust to attend the free event, as well as members of the public who would like to sign up on the day.

‘Talking about …Diabetes’ is being held on Friday 20 March from 2.30pm in the hospital’s Children’s Centre Seminar Room, Damers Road, Dorchester.

Dr Adeel Ghaffar, Dr Andy Macklin, Agnieszka Graja and Mo-Lee Wong from the Diabetes Centre team at the hospital will be talking about their work and about recent developments in diabetes care.

Members’ Events are open to all members, as well as the public, who can sign-up for Trust Membership on the day.  The event is free and refreshments will be available, and there will be the opportunity to meet other members, Governors and staff.

  • Governors on the DCH Membership Development Committee are pleased to launch a new look membership leaflet, with the hope of attracting more new members to the Trust. Duncan Farquhar-Thomson, Lead Governor and Chair of the Membership Development Committee, said: “We value all our members, whatever their level of involvement with the Trust. Becoming a member of the Foundation Trust is an easy, free and practical way of demonstrating support for the hospital.  We are also pleased to be able to offer a number of benefits to our members, such as access to online discounts, and invitations to members only events. The committee hope that the new eye-catching design will help the leaflet stand out at local libraries, GP surgeries and around the hospital.” You can also sign up as a member online at www.dchft.nhs.uk
