Update – appeal to find missing boy from Christchurch

Officers searching for a missing boy from Christchurch are pleased to say he has been found safe and well.

Shaye Hughes, who is 14 years old, was last seen at his home address at around 5.20pm on Monday 14 May 2018.

He was located in the Christchurch area.

Officers searching for a boy from Christchurch are asking for the public’s help to find him.

Shaye Hughes, who is 14 years old, was last seen at his home address in River Way at around 5.20pm today, Monday 14 May 2018.

He is described as white, five feet four inches tall, of slim build and with short brown hair. He is wearing a grey sweatshirt and camouflage coloured trousers.

Shaye has learning difficulties and was very upset earlier today.

Chief Inspector Jim Beashel, of Dorset Police, said: “Due to Shaye’s vulnerability we are becoming very concerned for his welfare.

“We have searched the area but have so far been unable to find him.

“I urge anyone who has seen Shaye since the time he went missing to call Dorset Police urgently.”
