Yesterday Dennis Waterman died in hospital in Spain at the age of 74. Today Tory Education Secretary killed off Pete Waterman.

The fact that he produced Kylie Monogue amongst many others to the top of the charts and apparently now he was also running around the manor at the instruction of Arthur Daley, seems to have been overlooked by the rest of us.

But then we are not from the same social and economic capital as Mr Zahawi so we could not have been expected to know.
