Mischief Company is breathing new life into the classic story of Little Red Riding Hood with a piece of energetic and provocative physical theatre. Through intricate storytelling and dark humour, Mischief leads you through the forest and into the world of RED. This is no fairy tale!

THE HEAD WRAP DIARIES by Uchenna Dance (PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME)

Three fierce female characters share stories of community, heritage, womanhood and friendship. This interactive dance-theatre production uses Uchenna Dance’ signature blend of House, Waacking and Vogue choreography fused with African and Contemporary dance.

MEDEA, WRITTEN IN RAGE by Jean Réne Lemoine (PERFORMANCE PROGRAMME)

This is Medea – returned from history to tell us her version of events. This startling, contemporary reimagining of the ancient Greek legend of passion and revenge casts Medea as the ultimate outsider, a stranger filled with rage in a foreign land.

LE COSAIRE (LIVE) (BOLSHOI ON SCREEN)

One of the Bolshoi’s most lavish productions, this repertoire classic is inspired by Byron’s epic poem and has been reworked by Alexei Ratmansky from Petipa’s 19th century choreography: amidst a bustling market, the pirate Conrad falls in love at first sight with the beautiful Medora, the ward of the slave merchant Lanquedem’s bazaar. Conrad kidnaps Medora when Lanquedem decides to sell her to the Pasha.

A scene, from above: three dancers and three towels lying in a neat, white square, almost like a beach. But then their world is transformed by black sand raining down and we watch as the floor turns into a canvas and the dancers’ bodies into paint brushes.
