Officers are issuing a CCTV image of a suspect after a man was assaulted in Christchurch town centre.

At approximately 1.35am on Saturday 1 April 2023, the victim – a man aged in his 20s – was assaulted by an unknown man on Millhams Street and High Street.

It is reported that the victim was hit with a glass bottle and sustained an injury to his nose.

Police Constable Samuel Burlton, of Christchurch police, said: “The victim required surgery following this incident and we are determined to identify the person responsible for causing the injuries.

“I am now issuing a CCTV image of the suspect and while I appreciate the image is not very clear, I am hoping someone may recognise the man from his general build and clothing.”
