Officers investigating a report of a rape in Poole are issuing CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to.

At approximately 10.30pm on Friday 6 May 2022 the victim – a woman aged in her 20s – got into a vehicle with a man she had arranged to meet in the town centre.

It is reported that he drove to a car park in Newfoundland Drive and raped the victim.

Officers are continuing to support the victim as the investigation continues.

Detective Constable Emma Jeffries, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident to try and locate the suspect.

“As part of my investigation, I am now in a position to issue CCTV images of a man I would like to identify as he may have important information to help our enquiries.

“I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to please get in touch.”
