Lovers of outdoor film will be thrilled to hear that Dorchester Youth Extra (DYE) – the youth forum for Dorchester, have organised a FREE open air cinema event which is being held in Borough Gardens in Dorchester on Saturday July 16th.

The first film, The Incredibles, will be shown at 4pm followed by an interval during which there will be live music from young talented performers including Pop Club and Bluetown Rumble.

The second film, Grease, will be shown at 7pm.

There will be gourmet burgers, hotdogs and delicious pizzas on sale as well as candy floss, pop corn and ice-cream – everything you need to complete your cinema experience!

There will even be a bar for the grown ups!

“Last year this was an extremely popular event and we are really pleased it is happening again this year. It is special because it brings people together of all ages and allows us to make full use of the lovely Borough Gardens Park”

Emma Scott – Community Development Officer, West Dorset District Council.

Attenders are encouraged to come early and bring a blanket or deckchair and get themselves comfortable for this truly wonderful community event.

The event has been organised by DYE and is being sponsored by Dorchester Town Council.
