Excrement pushed through the doors
Of Asian families, dehumanised as faeces
And here we are again
Stinking, putrid excrement
But this time, in print form:
Tabloids and election leaflets
Filled with racist bile
The effect is the same
Human beings demonised and blamed
Depicted as less-than-human;
First as scroungers and terrorists
Then cockroaches and vermin
And hate crime soars:
First the immigrants
Then the gay and the disabled.
We said ‘Never Again’
But we’ve picked the dogshit up off the mat
And soon
They’ll rebuild the gas chambers
