This lot are gonna get rinsed at a General Election unless they address the lies Starmer told to get into power. This line that “circumstances have changed” and the country is worse off than it was in 2020 only STRENGTHENS the need for the progressive policies from the Corbyn era that Starmer used to get elected.

The sewage crisis only strengthens the need to renationalise water.

The cost of living crisis only strengthens the need to scrap universal credit and replace it with a social security system that is fair and that helps the most vulnerable.

The high energy bills only strengthens the need to bring energy back into public ownership.

The state of the NHS only strengthens the need to support striking workers and end outsourcing in the NHS.

The fact that home ownership is unattainable for the majority of people under forty, and we have a huge skills gap in Britain only strengthens the need to scrap tuition fees, so people don’t start their lives in crippling debt, just so they can fill the positions we desperately need them to fill (doctors, teachers etc).

The Labour argument that things getting worse means things need to stay the same is ludicrous. The money is THERE for these things, it just means a bit of wealth redistribution (which is also necessary to tackle the ever increasing yawning chasm between rich and poor in this country.) Why don’t the news media put this point to them?
