Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward following a racially aggravated assault in Blandford.

Dorset Police received a report at around 3.25am on Sunday 5 March 2023 of a man being assaulted by another man in Salisbury Street.

It is reported that the incident began a short time before involving the two men in the Kings Arms Alehouse in Whitecliff Mill Street.

The victim – a man aged in his 30s from Bournemouth – did not sustain any serious injuries. During the incident, he was racially abused by the offender.

Police Constable Mia Jakeman, of Dorset Police, said: “I am appealing to anyone who saw the assault in the town centre to please come forward.

“If anyone has any footage, either on CCTV or dashcam, that may assist my enquiries, I would urge you to please get in touch.”
