Detectives investigating an assault in Bournemouth town centre are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 3.10am on Sunday 22 September 2019 the victim, a man aged in his 20s and from Berkshire, was walking along Glen Fern Road with two other men. They were approached by another man, who was said to be acting aggressively.

The man punched the victim to the head, causing him to fall back and hit his head on the pavement.

The victim was taken to hospital and treated for head injuries and a fractured cheek.

Detective Constable Thomas Norman, of Bournemouth CID, said: “This assault has left the victim with significant injuries and we are determined to identify the man responsible.

“I understand there were a number of other people in the area at the time and I would urge anyone who witnessed what happened and has not already spoken to police, or anyone with information that can assist our investigation, to please contact us.”
