Recent Dead Marine Strandings – We Need Your Help!

DWT is aware of a common dolphin, porpoise and harbour seal all washing up recently on beaches in and around Poole Bay. The cause of death can only be ascertained from fresh carcasses. Cetacean Strandings Investigation Programme- UK strandings can do this but we must act fast. Please report any strandings to us on 01305 264620 or [email protected]. Take photos and do not touch!

Exploring for oil involves seismic testing which can be extremely harmful to marine mammals and we want to determine whether or not there is any link between the Colter Exploratory Oil Well and the strandings which have all occurred unusually, within a two week period.
