DWT is aware of a common dolphin, porpoise and harbour seal all washing up recently on beaches in and around Poole Bay. The cause of death can only be ascertained from fresh carcasses. Exploring for oil involves seismic testing which can be extremely harmful to marine mammals and we want to determine whether or not there is any link between the Colter Exploratory Oil Well and the strandings which have all occurred unusually, within a two week period.
