Reform UK Beaten In Five Other By-Elections That The Corporate Media Would Prefer You Not To See

Other principal authority council by-elections this week, in addition to a Senedd by-election, revealed significant defeats for Reform UK. As with last week, there was plenty of good news for those who cannot abide the idea of a far-right party gaining political ground. It’s notable that so far in the results there have been no Reform wins, and also how the Green Party’s by-election results very much continue not to surge.

Outside of Caerphilly, let us start in the Midlands:

The result of the Moseley by-election is as follows:

This is possibly the first Lib Dem council by-election gain in Birmingham for two decades.

Dunster (Somerset) Council By-Election Result:

🔶 LDM: 49.6% (+8.5)

➡️ RFM: 28.9% (New)

🌳 CON: 19.0% (-22.9)

🌹 LAB: 1.9% (-4.2)

No GRN (-10.3) as previous.

Liberal Democrat GAIN from Conservative. Changes w/ 2022.

Glastonbury – Somerset Council Lib Dem Hold!

🔶 Ewan Cameron Liberal Democrat 882 36.4%

➡️ Reform UK 523 21.6%

🔵 Conservative 506 20.9%

🟢 Green Party 480 19.8%

🔴 Labour 35 1.4%

Milton & Tamarside (Torridge) Council By-Election Result:

🔶 LDM: 37.5% (New)

➡️ RFM: 31.1% (New)

🌳 CON: 16.7% (New)

🌍 GRN: 5.9% (-23.9)

No Ind (-43.5) or LAB (-17.9) as before.

Liberal Democrat GAIN from Independent. Changes w/ 2023.

The Conservatives also managed to see off Reform this week too:

Whittlesey North West (Fenland) Council By-Election Result:

🌳 CON: 47.5% (-9.8)

➡️ RFM: 34.1% (New)

🙋 Ind: 12.5% (New)

🌹 LAB: 5.9% (-16.2)

No GRN (-20.5) as previous.

Conservative HOLD. Changes w/ 2023.
