Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious injury collision in Poole.

The incident occurred at around 7.55am on Tuesday 14 May 2024 at the junction of Ringwood Road and Rossmore Road and involved a black Honda Civic and a purple mountain bike.

The rider of the mountain bike – a man aged in his 50s from Poole – was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious leg injury. His family has been informed.

A police cordon was put in place to allow emergency services to safely deal with the incident and carry out an examination of the scene.

Police Constable Steven Eastwood, of the traffic unit, said: “I am carrying out enquiries to establish what happened and am keen to speak to any witnesses who were in the area.

“I would also like to hear from any motorists who may have captured anything of relevance on dashcam footage.

“Finally, I would like to thank the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
