An awareness and fundraising gig is being held in Dorchester on Friday 4th September, in support of the local campaign to save vital children’s services at Dorset County Hospital.

The night is being held at the TA Centre on Poundbury Road from 7 – 11.30pm and features music from Tolpuddle Festival favourites Robb Johnson & The Irregulars plus local acts The Skones and Jamie MacDonald. There will be a fully licensed bar and hot food available.

Advance tickets are £5 and on sale now at Dorchester Tourist Information, Durnovaria and Munchkins. They are also available online at www.fuelledbycider.com

Event organiser Kevin Davis said “The campaign to save SCBU and Kingfisher Ward has captured the attention of the whole county and a huge amount of work has been put in by local people. We thought that a night of music would be a positive way to keep the campaign in the public eye, raise some money to help with its ongoing costs and bring people together for a fun night out.”

Campaigner Naomi Patterson and her son are pictured here with musician Robb Johnson at the recent Tolpuddle Martyr’s Festival.
