Officers are appealing for help from the public as they search for a missing man from Swanage.

Charles Tones, aged 62, was last seen at his home address in Cliff Avenue at around midnight on the night of Saturday 15 February 2020. He is believed to have left in his vehicle, a white Citroen DS3 with the registration PX63 YRP.

Charles is described as white, five feet six inches tall and of medium build with slight stubble and a bald head. He wears glasses with a crack in them and was believed to have been wearing a brown jumper and black jeans.

Chief Inspector Andy Edwards, of Dorset Police, said: “We understand Charles has been upset recently and it is out of character for him to go off without letting his family know where he is.

“From our enquiries, we believe his vehicle may have travelled to the South Wales area.

“I am appealing to anyone with information as to Charles’ whereabouts to please contact us immediately. I would also like to hear from anyone who sees either a man matching the description given or the vehicle detailed above.

“Finally, I would urge Charles if you see this appeal to please make contact with us or your family and let us know where you are as we all just want to make sure you are safe and well.”

Anyone with information or knowledge as to Charles’ whereabouts is asked to contact Dorset Police at www.dorset.police.uk, via email [email protected] or by calling 101, quoting incident number 16:98.
