Detectives investigating an assault on a man in Poole town centre are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

At around 12.30am on Saturday 17 September 2022 the victim, aged in his 40s, was near to the taxi rank in Orchard Plaza when he was assaulted by an unknown man. He sustained broken ribs, damaged teeth and a laceration to the back of his head as a result of the assault.

The offender is described as a tall white man aged in his 20s with dark hair.

Detective Constable Emma Jeffries, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We are carrying out enquiries into this assault and, from our investigation, I understand there were a number of people in the area at the time of the incident.

“I would urge anyone who saw what happened to please contact us. I would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured anything relevant on mobile phone or dashcam footage.”
