Dorset Wildlife Trust (DWT) is delighted to announce the launch its new online shop, with 100% of the profits going back into conservation work, to help wildlife and wild places in Dorset.
Products include great gifts or ‘treat yourself’ ideas, such as wildlife-themed jewellery, soft toys, books and exclusive Rachel Bright prints. There are also gift cards, bird food and a fun kids’ educational range, including Jurassic pterodactyl kites and bird watching starter kits.
DWT have teamed-up with people and organisations that support wildlife, to offer exclusive products and prices to our customers. Local artist, Rachel Bright, creator of the multi-million selling brand, ‘the bright side’ has offered some of her beautiful hand-crafted, open edition copper plate etchings for an exclusive price.
DWTis also working with The Really Wild Bird Food Company, who are selling their high quality nutritional and delicious bird food in the new shop, and donating some of their profits to DWT.
Lesley Smith from The Really Wild Bird Food Company said: “We were absolutely delighted to be asked by Dorset Wildlife Trust to become their supplier of choice for bird food and bird feeding products. As a family business based on our farm in Hampshire, we grow a wide range of cereals and seeds for our unique bird food range and you can see a small selection of those products in the DWT’s new Spring catalogue and online shop. Conservation is an important part of our farming life and business and we are especially pleased to be able to support DWT’s fundraising programme by donating 7.5% of the value of all orders placed, back to the Trust.”
Products available in the shop compliment DWT’s first ever retail catalogue, which is now available in all its visitor centres across Dorset* and has been distributed to the 26,000 members of the Trust.
DWT’s Director of Fundraising and Marketing, Alastair Cook said: “During the recession many of our traditional funding sources diminished or disappeared altogether, so we hope this new retail venture, which includes a new online shop, will prove to be a long term fundraising success for Dorset Wildlife Trust. We have carefully chosen products that are interesting, attractive and which are not widely available elsewhere, so we hope people enjoy shopping for wildlife!”
