Officers are issuing images of three suspected stolen bikes that were recovered in Weymouth and appealing for the owners to come forward.

On Friday 21 June 2019 a 40-year-old local man was arrested on suspicion of theft of a bicycle in the area of Ranelagh Road and a dark grey and silver Raleigh Velo bike with green markings was recovered.

Following searches of an address, a red Claud Butler Alpina 2.5 bike and a black Carrerra Crossfire ladies bicycle were also recovered.

The arrested man has been released under investigation as enquiries continue.

Police Sergeant Rich Barnett, of Weymouth police, said: “I would urge anyone who recognises these bicycles or who has any information about the reported thefts of bikes in the Weymouth area to please contact us.”
