Event organisers at Bournemouth Tourism have invited tenders for a five-year contract to supply a variety of festive attractions in the resort, with a deadline of Tuesday 27 September 2016.
Bournemouth’s contract with its current supplier comes to an end after this year and tenders for Christmas in the UK’s premier destination are now being invited for 2017 – 2021.
Alongside traditional commercial opportunities such as a market and ice rink, future plans for the festive season include a Christmas Tree Wonderland, featuring over 100 trees of various shapes and sizes and lighting trails that will stretch across the town centre, gardens and seafront.
Bournemouth Tourism Event Manager, Helen Wildman, said: “We’ve been pleased to be able to offer a varied festive experience in Bournemouth for a number of years – from the alpine market and bar to contemporary LED light displays in the gardens. We’re excited to plan for the future and to see what new and experienced contractors can bring to the table.”
Open to European tenders, prospective suppliers can find a detailed brief and register their interest on the Supplying the South West Portal at procontract.due-north.com before 2pm on the closing date of Tuesday 27 September 2016.
