Thank you your majesty

Through the hustle and bustle of Yeovil, I’ve a quiet spot, and I’d just like to take this moment, sitting on my peaceful bus, to say thank you, Mrs Sovereign. And I feel one must say – (and in the modern world we often don’t, when events pass with such speed and frivolous expediency, especially when gratitude needs expressing) – just what a wonderfully giving, altruistic soul you are, me royal highness.

The fact you’re willing to give up your Christmas ‘lunch’ with such stoical, selfless grace, speaks for itself. All of us who admire and value such magnanimous acts of self-sacrifice, through the only way you know how – leading by example – stand to applaud you, your majesty, during this terrible time of national crisis. My head is bowed, maam, my Geordie cap is doffed. . .

According to ‘royal sources’ however, those citing what the real Saxe Coburg Gotha’s and the House of Hanover to boot, and all the descendants of German royalty for that matter, over centuries, enjoy most, is the colossal celebration, the festivities of the evening gathering, where it is said that no bird but Swan is served at the highest table! What a disgrace they are, these ‘royal sources,’ making these ridiculous accusations.

Seriously. Does the establishment after the most horrendous year we’ve all had to endure, even remotely believe, that they can end it by promoting the royals – hanging on to some imagined 1930s reinvention of the ruling class, roughing it, down there with the impoverished, poverty stricken, struggling to cope working class, suffering along with us all – with their parasitic wealth accumulating on our backs, whilst the privileged and protected continue to live in a constant state of self isolation pretending they don’t!? It’s high time this country started to grow up a bit! Up the republic!
